We have missed seeing your smiling faces!
We are pleased to announce that Light of the World Church will begin opening for onsite services this Sunday (31 May 2020) at 10:00 a.m.
There will be some obvious differences in the way we do things in light of the current health regulations. It is all in the interest of helping us come together in a safe manner.
So here is an overview of the way we will conduct services for a while:
We can only have 50 people at the service and chairs will be spaced out at least one meter apart.
We will continue broadcasting on Facebook Live. We will not be able to have Sunday School or permit children under 16 to attend. That’s a tough call for a church that loves and esteems children as much we do, but it is required by the government. BUT we will still have a portion of the service presented especially for children to watch on Facebook Live.
For our safety, we will have all of the measures in place that we have been seeing in our local shops such as hand washing/sanitation stations, with everyone being registered and temperatures being checked (no one over 37.4 degrees allowed). Don’t forget that face masks are required in public which includes at church.
We are a loving church, but for now, we should not be shaking hands or hugging and please be patient and cooperative with the ushers directing you to avoid crowding, especially during dismissal and offering time. No food in the building, please.
It seems like a lot of rules, but it is to keep us safe and we know that these things are not forever.
Be assured that we are going the “second mile” in making sure everything is thoroughly washed and sanitized for each service.
With these limitations, we know that not everyone will be able to come back to onsite services, but we encourage you to be sure not to miss the online service if you can’t attend in person.
